GA-20 is clearly on to something big. It’s a movement, a new revival of traditional blues. The dynamic, throwback trio strives to find the place where traditional blues, country, and rock ‘n’ roll intersect. Pat Fahery (vocals/guitar), Matt Stubbs (guitar), and Tim Carman (drums) are at the forefront of a traditional blues revival skyrocketing to the top of the Billboard Blues Chart. In 2022, GA-20 was nominated for a Blues Music Award for Best Emerging Artist.
Blind Boy Paxton returns to the Saskatoon Blues Festival to play the opening set. A gifted multi-instrumentalist specializing in traditional, pre-World War II music, Paxton plays the fiddle, banjo, guitar, harmonica, and piano. His set list includes ballads, blues tunes, banjo tunes, fiddle tunes, rags, and more.
