DESCRIPTION:\nAretha Tillotson is a JUNO-nominated bassist\, band leader\, composer\, and faculty member at MacEwan University\, where she teaches bass and theory. Her debut album\, Introducing Aretha Tillotson\, won a 2024 Western Canadian Music Award for Jazz Artist of the Year. This concert features her second album\, Kinda Out West\, which has been nominated for a 2026 JUNO for Jazz Album of the Year.
