Harry Bartlett’s 2022 debut recording Wildwood blended jazz, folk, and country styles. In an effort to deepen his knowledge of old-time and folk music, Harry moved to Nashville in 2023. There, he studied with esteemed bluegrass guitarist Jordan Tice and collaborated with a rich network of folk musicians in the Tennessee area. These experiences redefined how Harry approaches the acoustic guitar. While still grounded in jazz improvisation, his 2024 release, Mountain Air, offers clear shades of bluegrass, old-time, and folk styles. Harry recorded the album with Canadian folk-jazz musicians Aline Homzy (violin) and Andrew Downing (bass). This distinguished trio is touring across Western Canada to promote Mountain Air.
