Rooted in the tradition, fearlessly creative, and possessing a bold, dynamic sound, The Slocan Ramblers have quickly become a bright light on the Canadian roots music scene. Returning for their fourth visit to The Bassment, the Ramblers have a well-earned reputation for energetic live shows, impeccable musicianship, and having an uncanny ability to convert anyone within earshot range into an instant, lifelong fan. One such fan, Hockey Night in Canada’s Don Cherry, said of the band’s performance of Abide with Me, “It’ll give you the chills. I’ll tell you that!”
Special guest Gabrielle Papillon opens the night. Here’s a guote about Gabrielle from Tom Power of CBC’s Q: “This is the kind of music that’s going to make you stop in your tracks. One of the finest new songwriters in Canada.”
