Saskatoon’s Ross Neilsen returns to the Bassment to release Within Tension, his first new album since 2016. This past January Ross travelled to Memphis to record at the legendary Sam Phillips Recording Services and to represent Saskatchewan at the International Blues Challenge, where he reached the semi-finals. This show marks the fourth in his sold-out “Ross Neilsen Sings” series—this time featuring his own high-octane northern blues rock, backed by Don Griffith (organ/piano), Dave Anderson (bass), Hal Schrenk (drums) , and The Bridge City Horns featuring Sheldon Corbett (sax) and Barrie Redford (trumpet).
