

Alto and soprano saxophonist, composer, and conductor Christine Jensen is a pivotal figure on the international jazz scene and is revered as one of Canada’s premier jazz talents. She’s garnered significant accolades throughout her career, including JUNO Awards for Habitat (2014), Treelines(2011), and most recently in 2024 for Day Moon. Christine’s extensive global engagements include numerous commissions, guest residencies, and collaborations. She currently teaches composition and saxophone and also leads ensembles at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y.
