Pianist and composer François Bourassa has been a cornerstone of the Canadian jazz landscape for over 25 years, exemplifying consistency and artistic evolution inspired by artists such as Ornette Coleman, Fred Hersch, and Carla Bley. Now with eleven albums of original music under his belt—he has become an ambassador for Canada’s thriving jazz community. Since its inception, the quartet has featured Guy Boisvert saxophone), André Leroux (bass), and has more recently welcomed Guillaume Pilote (drums). A model of constant evolution, François continues to seek out new challenges for himself, his colleagues, and his growing community of listeners.
