Unapologetically old-school country and armed with a husky, baritone voice, Zachary Lucky is the grandson of Canadian country music pioneer Smilin’ Johnnie Lucky. Often compared to songwriters such as Gordon Lightfoot and Kris Kristofferson, he sings of Canadian people and places. Hailed as a masterful storyteller by such outlets as No Depression and The Globe and Mail, he’s on his way to earning a spot at the table of Canadian roots royalty. On tour to promote his new album The Wind, Zachary is looking forward to playing for a hometown crowd.
